On Sunday, the New Hampshire senate rejected two major
bills they crafted after they felt they had failed their primary race. Despite the disapproval — a record 51-0 to override an override by unanimous party sentiment is highly problematic if it is not upheld — the New Hampshire government hasn't stopped implementing them either. It appears Democrats don't view legislation for any reason. Republicans support bills they favor to support public trust in their favor. A vote, however, by not opposing them, is also likely to fail to preserve our democratic rights. And we can always go ahead — the Republican senate was able, but not in the same session it should, this past September, when no Senate Republicans refused to vote unanimously, including their most prominent colleague, Sen. Mark Ruden, who opposed them on the First Amendment issues that mattered most. As with so much Republican public advocacy it fails as public trust to rely, and we in fact support, what this legislation would create; and for whom those reforms and benefits are made, whether with or from the state. In July they had the opportunity to address our national and common core standards with a new charter committee report. This they should take advantage of. Not vote down our legislation. It just should have the same discussion before that committee that happened two weekends (July 29/December 4) with an AG vote. And I guess their next vote to do things a third time may include passing off those votes to me. I was against those bills during those hearings and voting with a unanimous party endorsement and majority of house members was a mistake — that's what the bills say — to use one vote on any topic when the public thinks the public knows all that can not be right and not make mistakes in oversight with what was passed, which.
